1. Collaborative Research with National Technical University

of Ukraine 

Conducting collaborative research with research teams at National Technical

University of Ukraine is one of the most remarkable milestones in the process

of education internationalization at Huizhou University, which has become a

significant indicator reflecting our progress made in the enhancement of

internationalization and the University’s soring reputation worldwide. In

addition to uplifting Huizhou University’s research capability and aligning domestic

research with international trends; this collaboration is expected to benefit Huizhou

pillar industries with theoretical support. Currently, research in progress covers

fields of electronics, material science, computer science, chemical engineering and

life science.

2. Academic Communication Platform withUniversiti Teknologi


After visiting and signing an agreement withUniversiti TeknologiMalaysiain

2015 on promoting collaborative research, Huizhou University held the 1st

International Seminar between Huizhou University andUniversiti Teknologi

Malaysiain September 2016. The Seminar was attended by 13 scholars from UTM,

whose research interests include mathematics, computer science, biology, business management, education, etc.The Seminar will be an annual event that provides

opportunities for researchers of two universities to exchange ideas and


In 2017, HZU delegated 9 researchers from School of Information Science and

Technology, School of Chemistry and Materials Engineering and School of

Mathematics and Big Data Science to attend the 2nd International Seminar between

Huizhou University and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). HZU researchers

sharedtheir recent research with counterparts in areas including image and video

intelligence analysis, automatic detection of heart sounds, modelling spatio-

temporal pattern of cropland change, Gelfand-Kirillov dimension and its

applications, Topological Dynamical System, nanostructured magnetic metal/alloy

films and cobaltite catalysts, determination of propranolol in animal derived food,

rare tetradecanuclear polyoxofluorovanadate cluster and physical adsorbents.

After seminar, two parties agreed on futher collaboration on big data science and

the preparations, extraction and detection of herbal medicine.
