Chinese and Foreign Youth Delegations Visited HZU

On the afternoon of November 21st, foreign teachers and students from Britain, Iran and 

Pakistan, organized by the Guangdong People's Association for Friendship with Foreign 

Countries, visited our school for an exchange and discussion with our foreign teachers' 

representatives. The event was attended by Xie Zhigen, Deputy Secretary General of Guangdong 

People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Lu Guohua, Deputy Secretary 

General of Huizhou Municipal Foreign Affairs Commission Office, Tao Yuting, Deputy Director of 

Foreign Affairs Department, and representatives of young students from relevant colleges and

 universities in Guangdong.

During their visit, a delegation led by Jason Sibulkin, the representative of foreign teachers from 

the School of Economics and Management, toured some teaching facilities and the working 

environment at the teaching experiment building. They were shown multi-functional smart 

classrooms and other advanced teaching equipment of the school. After their tour, the 

delegation had a discussion with our foreign teachers' representatives at Nick's Studio in the 

School of Geography and Tourism. Both parties had a friendly exchange on the experiences of 

foreigners working, studying, and living in Guangdong.

Starting from November 19th, the Guangdong People's Association for Friendship with Foreign 

Countries initiated the Walk with our friends to visit beautiful Guangdong’s villages Guangdong 

Youth Tour. More than 40 Chinese and foreign young students from Sun Yat-sen University, 

South China University of Technology, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Guangzhou 

University, and other universities visited Foshan, Zhaoqing, Huizhou, Qingyuan, and Shaoguan. 

The objective of this activity was to help foreigners working or studying in higher education 

institutions in Guangdong to understand the education conditions and characteristics of other 

higher education institutions and deepen their understanding of the development of higher 

education in Guangdong.
