Huizhou University Sends Students to Participate in the First Summer Short-Term
Exchange Program in Japan
2024-8-20
To further promote the exchange and cooperation between HZU and Sapporo University,
our university sent Xie Chu Yi, a Grade 2023 Japanese major, to Japan to participate in the
Short-term Japanese Language and Japanese Culture Summer Program from July 14 to 27.
The program is aimed at foreign students from its sister schools, and provides participants
with an intensive learning opportunity to improve their Japanese language skills, while enhancing
their understanding of Japanese society and culture through off-campus study and experience
of Japanese traditional culture. This summer program gathered 20 students from four countries
and regions including China, Cambodia and South Korea.
It is reported that the content of the project is mainly divided into Japanese courses, Japanese
salon and Japanese cultural experience, which draws on the results of the Chinese language and
Chinese culture short-term exchange program held by our school in March every year since 2014.
That is, through the international exchange mode of exchange and mutual learning, cultural
narration, and diversified linkage, with the bringing in and going out as the starting point, the
internal high-quality integration and external cross-expansion of the exchange mode. Since
the establishment of friendly relations between Sapporo University and our University in 2013,
we have carried out a series of exchanges and cooperation. So far, HZU has sent more than 20
teachers and students majoring in Japanese to Sapporo University to go out exchange activities,
and received more than 80 teachers and students from Sapporo University to participate in bringing in exchange activities.
