University Held the 1st Member Representative
Conference of the 2nd Session of the
Young Alumni Association

To better unite young alumni and support the university's 80th anniversary alumni
work, on April 11, the Second First Member Representative Conference
of the Huizhou University Young Alumni Promotion Association (referred to as YAPA)
was held in Lecture Hall 302, Glorious Sun Technology Building A. Vice President
Wei Xiaohui, along with representatives from the University Administration Office
(Alumni Service Center), the University Youth League Committee, relevant
departments, sister alumni associations, friendly business associations, and
young alumni, totaling about 120 people, attended the meeting.

Wei Xiaohui, on behalf of the university, congratulated YAPA on its successful
leadership transition. She fully affirmed the achievements of YAPA since its
establishment and its support for the university's development. She emphasized
that the new leadership of YAPA should adhere to a service-oriented approach,
acting as a strong bond for emotional connection, a bridge for university-local
collaboration, and a vanguard of dedication and contribution, uniting and leading
young alumni to work together with the university for mutual development.
At the meeting, Lin Yue, the second-term Secretary-General of YAPA, presented a
report on the preparatory work. Wu Zhixin, the first-term Secretary-General of
YAPA, delivered a work report on behalf of the first-term council, comprehensively
reviewing the four-year development journey and achievements of YAPA.
The conference then heard and voted to adopt the Huizhou University Alumni
Association Young Alumni Promotion Association Management Measures
(Revision Explanation) and the Election Method for the Second First Member
Representative Conference (Draft), providing a solid institutional foundation for
the subsequent standardized operation and efficient service of YAPA.
Following the election procedures, the conference voted to approve the candidates
for the second-term President, Vice Presidents, Secretary-General, Deputy
Secretaries-General, Council, and Supervisory Board. Luo Miaoli, an alumna of the
Class of 2010 from the School of Life Sciences, was elected as the new President;
seven alumni, including Lin Xiaohang and Zhu Hao, were elected as Vice Presidents;
Lin Yue was elected as Secretary-General; four alumni, including Huang Shiping and
Lin Yuxia, were elected as Deputy Secretaries-General; and 46 alumni, including
Chen Xuelong and Zhong Changqi, were elected as Council members. Wei Xiaohui
and other leaders presented appointment letters to the new leadership and
awarded YAPA the nameplates Huizhou University Alumni Liaison Service Center
and Huizhou University Alumni Home. President Luo Miaoli presented honorary
nameplates to the first-term Honorary Presidents Gao Xing, Lai Yunhui, Chen
Guanming, and Li Huijing.
In her speech, Luo Miaoli stated that the new leadership of YAPA would adhere to
the mission of uniting, connecting, and serving young alumni, focusing on career
development and innovation/entrepreneurship needs. Key initiatives include
building four major brand activities: Wisdom Lighthouse, Innovation Spark,
Nurturing Spring Breeze, and Heart Harbor, creating a mutual support platform,
connecting university and local resources, and building a dynamic, warm, and
responsible home for young alumni. The growth of young alumni is inseparable
from the nurturing of their alma mater, and the development of the alma mater
is also inseparable from the support of its alumni. On the occasion of the upcoming
80th anniversary of the university, YAPA and its council member Ji Tong donated
RMB 100,000 and 1,338 boxes of elementary school science experiment materials
to the university respectively, adding luster to the 80th anniversary with concrete
actions, demonstrating the gratitude and sense of responsibility of Huizhou
University's young alumni.
After the conference, a Gathering Strength for Development, Vitality for the Future
friendly association collaborative development micro-forum was held. Representatives
from friendly associations such as the Huizhou Youth Entrepreneurship Association,
Huizhou Overseas Chinese Youth Federation, Huizhou Credit Association, Huizhou
University Alumni Home, and Huizhou Huicheng District New Social Stratum
Association participated, engaging in exchanges with young alumni on topics such
as youth development, resource sharing, and win-win cooperation.
