The tide of the Dongjiang River surges, nourishing Langyuan Campus; eight decades
of glory shine with profound heritage. Since the release of Announcement (No. 1)
on the 80th Anniversary of Huizhou University, all preparatory work has received
enthusiastic attention and strong support from faculty, students, staff, alumni at
home and abroad, and people from all walks of life. Hereby, we extend our sincere
gratitude and highest respect to leaders at all levels, distinguished people from all
circles, and alumni worldwide who care for and support the development of the
university.
With 80 years of glory and enduring educational influence, to inherit the spirit of
Huizhou University, gather momentum for progress, and fully promote the
high-quality development of the university, the university has officially determined
the theme, logo and special website for the 80th anniversary series of activities on
the basis of extensive collection and expert review, which are announced as
follows.

Design Concept
The logo takes 80 Years of Inheritance, Symphony of the Times as its core concept,
integrating the university motto, regional culture, disciplinary characteristics and
the pulse of the times. The overall design is a noble tribute to the university’s 80
years of trials and hardships and unremitting educational pursuit, and also sounds
a clarion call for embarking on a new century-long journey and creating new glories.
The logo takes the number 80 as the core visual framework. The digit 8 adopts a
Möbius strip shape, connecting the campus landmark buildings and the Dunzhong
Stone with lines running through the front and rear spaces, symbolizing the
continuous cultural heritage of Fenghu Academy nourished by the Dongjiang River,
and highlighting the historical heritage and cultural accumulation of the consistent
teacher education. The digit 0 takes a square and steady shape; its front side
integrates the image of Fenghu Memorial Archway, leading to straight lines
representing the development of science and engineering disciplines, and embeds
campus symbols such as the Xuri Technology Building in the middle. Together, they
construct a visual image of carrying forward the past and ushering in the future,
implying the university’s innovation in inheritance, development in striving, and its
mission to serve national strategies and cultivate new-era talents with high spirit.

campus information in real time, vividly tells stories of Huizhou University, and builds
