Delegation from Herzen State Pedagogical University of
Russia Visited HZU

On the morning of March 23, a delegation led by Natalia Antonova, Director of the
International Exchange and Development Center of Herzen State Pedagogical
University of Russia, and Wang Hui, Secretary-General of the China-Russia Education
International Cooperation Alliance, visited our university for exchange. Lin Hong,
Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department, received the
guests in Conference Room 612 of the Administration Building. The two sides engaged
in in-depth discussions on strengthening exchanges and interaction and expanding
faculty and student exchange programs.

At the symposium, Natalia Antonova introduced Herzen State Pedagogical University’s
history, scale, disciplinary structure, program layout, and international education
development. She expressed hope to establish friendly cooperative relations with our
university and jointly promote high-quality exchange programs.
Wang Hui briefed the guests on the China-Russia Education International Cooperation
Alliance. He noted that as an important bridge for China-Russia educational
exchanges, the alliance actively promotes pragmatic cooperation between universities
of the two countries in education, science and technology, and cultural fields. He
expressed hope that the two universities would establish cooperation, deepen
communication, and contribute to enhancing the level of China-Russia educational
cooperation.
Lin Hong extended a sincere welcome to the delegation from Herzen State Pedagogical
University and the China-Russia Education International Cooperation Alliance, and
briefly introduced Huizhou’s urban profile, as well as our university’s development
history, disciplinary characteristics, and international education achievements. She
emphasized that our university adheres to an open education philosophy, actively
promotes high-level educational opening-up, and attaches great importance to
exchanges and cooperation with universities in Belt and Road countries. She expressed
hope that the two universities would take this meeting as an opportunity to strengthen
communication, identify cooperation areas, promote the implementation of specific
projects, and jointly advance the high-quality development of international education.
Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia is located in the city center of St.
Petersburg. Founded in 1797, it is a key university directly under the Ministry of
Education of Russia and one of the oldest normal universities in the country. It
comprises 23 faculties and over 100 departments, with nearly 20,000 undergraduate
and graduate students and more than 1,700 faculty members. The university has
established partnerships with over 60 universities in more than 10 countries
worldwide, maintaining close ties with many Double First-Class and key universities
in China. This visit is of great significance for our university to further expand
international exchange channels and promote pragmatic cooperation with high-level
foreign universities.
