Teachers and Students from The Hang Seng University of
Hong Kong Visited HZU

To strengthen exchanges and cooperation between our university and higher
education institutions in Hong Kong, and enhance communication and understanding
among students from universities in Huizhou and Hong Kong, a delegation of 44
teachers and students from the Department of Economics and Finance at The Hang
Seng University of Hong Kong visited our university on the morning of April 3. Relevant
officials from our university’s Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Foreign Affairs
Department,Communist Youth League Committee, and School of Economics and
Management received the guests in Room 501, Block B, Glorious Sun Technology
Building. Studentrepresentatives from the School of Economics and Management
and the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship also participated in the
exchange activities.

Liu Shuaiyi, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Economics and Finance at The Hang
Seng University of Hong Kong, expressed gratitude for the warm reception and
thoughtful arrangements. She introduced the university’s development history, faculty
structure, signature programs, and student scale. She noted that the university
attaches great importance to diverse forms of exchanges and cooperation with
mainland universities, and expressed hope for in-depth discussions with relevant
departments of our university on joint training, program co-development, project
application, and scientific research cooperation, so as to deepen inter-university
exchanges and collaboration.

During the exchange meeting, Guo Ping, Vice Dean of the School of Economics and
Management, briefed the guests on the school’s basic profile and educational
characteristics. Du Jiancong, Chief of the Publicity Section of the Communist Youth
League Committee, shared information on student volunteer services and campus
life. Four student representatives from the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship,
including Zou Yangke, presented roadshows of their competition projects.
In the interactive session, students from both universities engaged in lively group
discussions with active participation and a harmonious atmosphere. Students from
The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong stated that the visit enabled them to gain a
deeper understanding of our university’s history, student activities, campus
environment, and academic strengths. They were particularly impressed by our
university’s efforts in encouraging students to participate in innovation and
entrepreneurship competitions and promoting interdisciplinary and inter-major
student collaboration in competitions.
The visit by the delegation from The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong is part of a
series of educational and cultural exchange activities organized by our university as
the Huizhou Education Base for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Youth. It plays an
important role in enhancing communication and understanding, and deepening
exchanges and cooperation between our university and higher education institutions
in Hong Kong.
